The heart and soul of our mission here at Bellus is transformation. We exist to show people their most gorgeous self through magazine-styled photo shoots. But what does that mean? A magazine-styled shoot simply means that we treat you to a super-star portrait experience. Like you were being featured on the pages of Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Mademoiselle, or even Popular Mechanics or GQ for our guys (whatever you envision for your own shoot can be created!) It's a chance to see yourself in a way that you may not have imagined was possible. We want you to feel amazing, confident and empowered.
Some times we hear excuses of why someone may not think this experience is for them, so we thought we would address those "excuses" here.
"I have never modeled professionally so I won't know what to do during the shoot."
It is not your job to know what to do in front of the camera! This is completely up to the photographer and team to pose you in the best way for your shape and body. There are amazing tricks and poses that flatter everyone and make you look amazing.
"I need to wait until I lose some poundage."
We hear this all the time!! As women we battle body image issues always thinking we aren't enough. Too big, too skinny, not this, or not that. We all have those thoughts but of course our advice to you is to love yourself today for who you are. The people in your life don't love you because of what you look like, they love you for who you are. If there are body parts that are not your most favorite, we will discuss this in your consultation and plan your shoot to focus on what you do love and want to highlight.
"I am too old for this style of photo shoot."
This is not true!! We photograph women of all ages and at the end of the shoot, we always hear, "That was so much fun." From high school students to retired grandmothers, we believe every person should treat them to a super star experience and feel beautiful for the day. And of course at the end of the session, we will create a gorgeous portfolio of images that you will cherish for a lifetime (and that will be passed down from generation to generation!)
"You should have a beautiful portrait of yourself that you love."
